What is the capacity of a DMT???

The DMT is a 13′ long by 42″ tall body. She holds 12 yards but with the dual augers those 12 yards will spread like 17 yards. 

The DMT Mulch Mate® combo without the lift kit or Extension Conveyor has a Full 32in of clearance from the bottom of the Mulch Mate® to the ground, perfect for a standard wheelbarrow!!!

If you option the Hydraulic Lift Kit you will see a total clearance of 47in and if you add the Mulch Mate® Extension conveyor with the Hydraulic Lift Kit you will have a massive 64in of clearance!!!!

If you are running the DMT with only the extension conveyor you will have a total of 48in of clearance to the ground!!!

YES!!! MulchMate® is the only Dual Pivoting BMD on the market to completely swing out of the way and allow you to load and/or dump your loads at a press of a button. 

Great question!!!! We recommend a 1 ton crew cab diesel pickup truck. Can you tow it with a smaller truck sure but its not as safe as a bigger truck or a newer truck. A 1 ton from 1999 is not the same as a 1 ton from 2025. Trucks with larger aftermarket tires are NOT recommend. The longer the truck and all stock is normally the best overall setups.

Not hard at all!!!! We handle everything for you!!! All you will need to do is back your truck u the ramps and pull it off the 18 wheeler that brought you your DMT!!!

You can also pick your DMT up from Belmont in Leola, PA but please call us first or you can pick up your DMT from the Dawson MFG HQ in Glen Burnie, MD. This must all be setup weeks in advance.

Unfortunately NO. The deck/floor height is to high and would require extremely long ramps and that would be unsafe and while towing your center of gravity would be to high.

Remember our goal in this business is to help as many people as we can and that’s not just meaning the owners but also the folks that are on the ground doing the work. We want all lives to get better when working with us and our equipment!!!

This is a great question and yet it will be different for everyone because there are a lot of things to facture in when it comes to Mulch Mate® and this process. 

Here is how we see it. Mulch Mate® is more than just getting a person out of the back of the truck. It’s about speeding the entire crew up and boosting morale all while keeping these folks safer. 

You should be able to get the same amount of work done 30% to 40% faster with at least 1 less person on this crew and at the same time using less mulch, if you are on a mulch job because the dual augers (fluffers as folks like to call them) flush the mulch as its existing the Mulch Mate®. 

What all this means is you will be able to get jobs done in half the time with the same people or less. 

There are five basic layout of a DMT

No Platform – 239″ long 86″ Tall 6,100lbs

54″ Platform – 295″ long 86″ Tall 6,750lbs

78″ Platform – 320″ Long 86″ Tall 7,400lbs

108″ Platform – 350″ Long 86″ Tall 8,300lbs

125″ Platform – 367″ Long 86″ Tall 9,000lbs

Gooseneck adds 300lbs and 50″ 

Weights can vary depending on options picked.

We have a full support center that staff that know Mulch Mate® inside and out. This is not a product that we import into the country and we barely know anything about it. We know every inch of them, we design them, engineer them, build them, assemble them, and ship them to you and support you and your team!!! We have all the parts and know how to keep you up and running. We can overnight parts straight to you and most of the time that’s faster than any local dealer. We hope to build a bigger dealer network but we will not just sign on anyone, we require only the best and those that care about their customer base more than just profits.
